Sometimes after shopping you come back home, look at the purchases once again and realize that some of the things do not suit you or you do not need them at all. Or it can also happen that at the store you failed to have a good look at the goods and at home it turned out that they are defective or expired. In these and many other cases you can go to the store and return the bought goods. But at different stores the return policy is different.
Kmart. If the clients are not satisfied with the purchases at KMart they can simply return them in their original packaging, with the original packing slip and Kmart.com Order Confirmation E-mail Receipt within 90 days of the purchase, for a refund. The refund is processed within 30 days. The refund is returned in the same form of payment, will equal the total unit price printed in the slip, it will however exclude sipping and handling, gift wrap and other service charges. KMart does not accept back a number of goods, among which are autographed collectibles, personalized items, any opened software, CDs, CD-ROMs, computer games, DVDs and videos, any opened baseball bat (which can be returned directly to the manufacturer. Place the item securely in the original package, if possible, keeping jewelry and other items separate. Include all paperwork, parts and accessories. Fill out the bottom of the packing slip, including the reason for your return, and put it in the package.

WalMart. If you want to return any purchase to a at WalMart store then you have to do the following – take the item you wish to return, the invoice for that item, and all original packaging and accessories to the Customer Service at the local WalMart store and you will get a refund. The goods can be returned within 90 days from the date of purchase, except for Camcorders and digital cameras, which muust be returned within 30 days of receipt, and GPS units, digital music players and portable video players - within 15 days. But certainly there are some exceptions to the rules. Some heavy or large items which are identified as oversize may be returned to a store or by freight shipping and the customer will be charged for the shipping services, unless it was a shipping mistake of the store. If there are some gifts you want to return associate issues an immediate credit to the original payment method or provides a store credit for the cost of the item and the sales tax, if applicable. In case if there is a need to return a product with hazardous materials, it will be impossible to do it by mail. WalMart requires that software, CDs, DVDs, audiotapes, videotapes and video games are returned unopened and Books- unused and unmarked.
